Home based programmes as also services by both Physiotherapist and Speech Therapist are provided. Presently, three resource teachers supervise this programme.
Early Intervention Centre / Help
Early identification is crucial hence intervention is provided to children with disabilities under the age of 6 years. Once the assessment is done and the needs identified, the child normally attends the Centre twice a week with the parent. The parents are also given training and asked to continue the intervention at home. Eventually this child may join the Day Centre. Children who are above the age of 6 years and have challenging behaviors and can not be admitted to the school, attend the HELP programme, twice or thrice a week, as the intervention requires.
Little White House
A home for children of Leprosy parentage. In Little White House they are given a new beginning in life, away from the stigma of the disease which afflicted their parents. The children attend local educational institutions. After completion of their schooling, they are given professional training to be able to follow a vocation of their choice.

After completing Vocational Training the children are free to either seek employment in their local community, help in their family business or be employed either in the Rehabilitative Workshop or in the offices at Raphael. The Workshop helps rehabilitate children and adults, producing candles, paper and fabric products.
Day Centre
A day school for children with Special Needs. The children attend special education classes ranging from pre-primary through to vocational training. Some of the residents from Ava Vihar attend the Day Centre as well. Each student is provided a nutritious mid-day meal. The Day Centre caters to about 120 children and young adults, from the age of 6 years and above. They are placed in classes according to their intellectual abilities, keeping chronological ages as similar as possible.
Resource Centre
The Resource Centre ( Dyslexia ) in Raphael provides assessment and remedial services to children with learning difficulties from mainstream schools in Dehra Dun. We do awareness workshops in schools for teachers and also for for parents. Children are referred to the centre for assessment. The assessment process takes about 2-3 hours over 1-2 days. If the child is found to have specific learning difficulties, we provide remedial sessions.
